Exhibition Quality Sheraton Period (1790-1820) Mahogany Bow Fronted Three Drawer Chest of compact proportions, of English origin. Supported on stylish unusual ring turned bun feet, first quarter of the Nineteenth Century.
The rectangular top is adorned with an exquisite large central oval inlaid satinwood paterae surrounded by ebony and satinwood wide stringing on all four sides. The three graduated oak lined drawers are also embellished with quarter fan satinwood inlays on all four corners of every drawer, see images, retaining their original polished brass decorative circular ring handles and brass locks.
Condition: Good condition for such an early piece, evidence of early light touch-up restoration, smooth running drawers.
